Tom Battey is a UK-based author of speculative fiction, from tense political sci-fi to strung-out surrealist apocalyptica.

He studied writing in the wintery north of Teesside, and obtained a Masters degree in creative writing from Teesside University in 2009. He went on to seek fame and fortune in London town, where he wrote his debut science-fiction novel Answer whilst serving coffee and sandwiches to cheerful city folk.

He currently resides in the sleepy village of Brixworth, Northamptonshire, where he takes care of one three-legged cat and drives around in a red Nissan Micra. He works as a freelance copywriter whilst working on his upcoming sky-pirate adventure saga, the Tales of Arcane Clockwork.
